Lamentations 3:22-23

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."

Good morning, Lord.  Thank you for waking me up today, and that your mercies are new everyday, according to your word.

Thank You for bringing me home safely from Afghanistan, for me to be reunited with Abby and the kids.  Didn't know it would be so special and good.  Amen and Amen.

Please give me the mental energy to remain focused on you and keep first things first, as I enter into this new phase/season of life and work.  Should those two things be distinct - life and work - or should one flow into the other?  Help me to prioritize and seek You first.

It is...

It is straight-forward. It is practical. And it is starting here.

I am entering a new phase of life, or should I say decade of life, in T-56 days.  I am absolutely OK with this, and here is why: the 30 year old - 50 year old window contains the most productive years of a man's life - personally, professionally, and all else.  By the grace of God, that is what I will experience as I move past my twenties and into my thirties.  Amen.

I invite you to join me on this journey, as I have learned that doing things together is far better than doing them alone.
